- Grade recovery forms and work is due tomorrow!!! (USA Test Prep due by Monday morning)
- I am only taking late work that is listed on a Grade Recovery form.
- The Unit 5 test has a grade recovery section in USA test prep. This is to help those that would like to improve their test grade. This is due by Monday morning, with no extension.
- There is an Extension Activity module on USA Test Prep that is optional. I will use the scores on those to replace the score of the lowest assignment (not assessments)--including zeros. It is also due on Monday with no deadline extension.
- Unit 5 Study Guides and Video Code sheets were due today. If they are not turned in completed by tomorrow, the zero will remain for it on the report cards.
Hello! Just sending some friendly and important reminders for students and parents:
Hello Parents and Guardians!!!
This week, I sent an important letter home with each student. This letter gave a host of info, such as: how to access my Remind101, the tutoring schedule, and most importantly: The Grade Recovery letter and form. In this letter, I detailed how the grade recovery would be done, when it was due, and the options students have. Please carefully read this letter with your scholar so that they can take advantage of this opportunity in time.
Just in case, I have attached a digital copy of the letter, etc that you can print. It's located below.
Thank you for all that you do to support me and your scholars!
Something weird happened in the grade book when I made a change or two. I'm fixing it and all grades will be updated by Thursday morning!
I appreciate those that quickly brought it to my attention!
I have spoken to the students today to let them know what happened, but I wanted to touch bases again with the parents.
Leaving work yesterday, I locked my keys and work bag in my trunk accidentally. I do not have the spare key. After over an hour trying to get into my car last night with the help of a few other teachers, I was given a ride home. In my trunk with my keys was my laptop, tablet, and the materials for the video. Mrs. Traster, the second Math 6 teacher, was kind enough to go home and record a video. The link to her study guide video is now in the Videos tab and also the Assignments tab. Because of this issue that was no fault of the students, I gave them a few pieces of assistance during the test today:
Thank you for your understanding!!!
Good afternoon! After a brief disruption, USA Test Prep is back! If students have work to complete, they can now. Thanks for your patience!
Math Inventory testing is tomorrow and Friday. For 2nd through 5th periods, students will meet me in the Dell lab 2, instead of in class. I will take my 1st period to the lab after homeroom is over.
See the assignments tab for a helpful video from the study guide!
Hello parents and students!
Here are some important announcements!

PEANUTS: I know that peanuts are delicious and popular. I miss them myself!!! But sadly I am extremely allergic to peanuts and peanut products--so much so that I can't sit in the same area peanuts are and I have an epi-pen. I do have an allergy sign on my door and one in my classroom and I have let my students know about it. Yet some students have been sneaking and eating peanut products, such as candy, and I had a reaction in class. I know that having peanuts is unavoidable in some cases, but since we eat in the cafeteria and not in the class, I require that no peanut products be opened in my classroom or in my immediate vicinity outside the classroom.
